Hi Wendy,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! What a magical time of year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. I cannot wait for you to experience the joyful spirit captured during the
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort, especially since this is your first trip!
Let me congratulate you on your persistence with making a reservation for a character breakfast. That is no small feat during the time you plan to visit! My family prefers the
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan as well. The good news is that you can certainly use your meal credits on the day you checkout of the resort. We always have breakfast on that last day.
Of course, you need to be sure that you have enough dining plan credits remaining to cover that last meal. On one of our prior visits, I miscalculated (signature meals that require two credits through me off), so I had to cancel a lunch reservation for the last day but we still had enough remaining credits for breakfast. Just remember that your dining plan credits are calculated per night of stay. Also, double-check the number of dining plan credits required at each restaurant. I always go the restaurant websites, then click on "Some Dining Plans Accepted" to verify how many dining plan credits each restaurant requires.
Wendy, once I have made all of our
dining reservations prior to arrival, I also create a chart that maps out our dining reservations to be sure I have not made more dining reservations than we have dining plan credits. Finally, I suggest that you keep checking the dining reservation system. More cancellations could occur.
Bon appétite!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
