First WDW trip is planned for Feb. We will stay OP the night we arrive then surprise the kids in the morning of where we really are. We will need to check in at POR, then have a 9:30 at Ohana. How much time should we allow for check-in & travel to Oha

    Hi Stacy!

Wow, it sounds like you have an amazing surprise planned for your children!  I would recommend checking in at Port Orleans Resort-Riverside between 8:00 and 8:30 am because even though your room might not be ready you still can check in.  Check in will take 10 to 15 minutes depending on if there is a line.  Then you can use your vehicle to drive directly to the Polynesian Resort which will take about 15 to 20 minutes.  If you arrive at the Polynesian Resort around 9:15 am, then you will have plenty of time to get to your 'Ohana Advanced Dining Reservation.  If you plan on using the Disney Transportation System to get from Port Orleans Riverside to the Polynesian it will take quite a lot longer travel time (typically 60 to 90 minutes because you would have to take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then the Resort Monorail or boat to the Polynesian Resort).

I hope that your first Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
