    First WDW trip. If we can only do one, Rainforest Cafe or the T-Rex restaurant which? Have a DD8 & DS2. Also, which Rainforest restaurant would you recommend Downtown Disney or Animal Kingdom? How much do I need to tip with Deluxe Dining plan?

    I am so happy to help you plan your first trip to Walt Disney World.  You and your family will have so much fun.  Thank you for your question.  My family loves both restaurants, but if I had to choose, I would pick T-REX- A Prehistoric Family Adventure.  My children love this restaurant.  As you probably know, both restaurants are owned by the same company so the theming in each restaurant is fantastic.  I love eating in the Ice Cave at T-REX and the meteor show is so much fun.  The food is wonderful and might I suggest the Mammoth Mushroom Ravioli.  It will change your world!  If I had to chose between locations of Rainforest Cafe, I would go to the one at Downtown Disney.  To me, it feels less cramped and open inside.  Both restaurants are always busy so I would recommend making Advanced Dining Reservations for all of your dining requests.  You can make these 180 days prior to your vacation.  I would recommend tipping between 18-20% depending on how good your server is and your experience has been.  Please send me a follow up question if I can help you further, Michael.  I hope you have a magical vacation!
