Hi! This will be my first WDW trip as an adult(2nd ever) and late honeymoon7/4-7/10we are staying off property. e dining at AKL and going to AK I was wonder where to park and how to get to and from everywhere( i can't find any help on the web site) TIA

Hello Alexandra! Thanks for asking me your question. What an exciting celebration you have coming up! Congratulations on your honeymoon (even if it's late, it still counts!). It sounds like you'll have a car, so if you're coming from Interstate 4, you can get off at pretty much any of the Disney exits and still get to where you need to go - there are always signs telling you which parks and resorts are where.

Specifically for Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge though, the closest exit is #65 which will take you briefly on the Osceola Parkway. Just follow the signs from there to either Animal Kingdom or Animal Kingdom Lodge. There is plenty of parking at Animal Kingdom and you can either take a tram or walk to the entrance depending on where you parked.

For Animal Kingdom Lodge, you'll just need to let the security officer know you are having breakfast, lunch or dinner at whichever restaurant and they will ask to see a photo ID. He or she will also let you know where to go for self-parking or valet ($12 for valet parking). If you need directions to the restaurant once inside, any cast member will be able to help you out.

For every other location within Disney property, just follow the purple road signs which will tell you the best way to go for each park and Downtown Disney too. Hopefully wherever you are staying will give you an area map so you can see the best route to get on property from your hotel. Another thing you can do is head over to google maps and just type in Walt Disney World, it'll give you a good overview of the roads within Disney property and how to get there from your hotel. In the off-chance you lose your way, ask any cast member for help - most of them know the roads like the back of their hand. ;)

Have a wonderful vacation and let me know if you had any other questions before you go! ~Suzannah
