We're going on our first WDW family vacation in July! We have a 10, 6 and 3 year old. My husband really wants to dine at Shula's, Fulton's and The Yachtsman's steakhouse. Everyone in our party loves steak and seafood but are these kid friendly places?

Hello Ann.  It sounds like your husband has great taste in restaurants.  Yum!  We love dining at Walt Disney World, it is a big part of our vacations.

Most restaurants at Walt Disney World are kid friendly.  Both the Yachtsman Steakhouse and Fulton's Crab House offer a kids menu.  I would not even think twice about bringing my 6 year old daughter to dine at either location.  She enjoys dining at fancy restaurants when we are at Walt Disney World just as much as we do.  Your whole family are sure to love both of those restaurants.  Shula's Steak House does offer some sort of kids menu by request but I do know it is a very limited.  There is no kids menu listed when looking on the website.  Shula's Steak House offers complimentary child care available at the hotel when dining there.  I am not sure that I would bring my daughter to dine at Shula's Steak House, not because she doesn't behave but because I doubt she would enjoy the limited menu options.

My families favorite dining location at Walt Disney World is 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort.  The dinner is all you can eat pork, shrimp, chicken and steak cooked on a wood fire grill in the middle of the restaurant.  It is super kid friendly with coconut races and hula dancing going on while you dine!  It is a great meal for the whole family.  We like to get a reservation for dinner an hour before the fireworks start at Magic Kingdom.  When we are enjoying our dessert the lights dim and music from the show gets piped in.  It is a perfect viewing spot for the fireworks and a delicious meal.  It is the best way to spend an evening at Walt Disney World.

I hope you have a great vacation.  If I can answer another question for you, feel free to ask!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
