First visit with a 3.5 yr old boy for full day Tues (10 am on) & half day Wed (3 pm flight). What do you suggest as best itinerary? Where to stay? How long does it take from AoA or Wilderness Lodge to MK,  Animal Kingdom? Thanks for your help!

Kim, how exciting for your three and a half year old.  That is the perfect age for a first visit.  This was how old my son was on his first visit to Walt Disney World.  You will love watching his eyes light up at the wonder and delights that will surround him in this magical place.

For that age, I would say, definitely go to the Magic Kingdom for your full day.  This is the best park, in my opinion, with rides and attractions to interest this particular age group.  For your half day, I would do Animal Kingdom.  Keep in mind that you will probably want to give yourself 2.5-3 hours prior to your flight to get to the airport and checked in through security. So, that isn't a lot of time, but enough to see some great attractions at Animal Kingdom.  Just be sure to get there at park opening to get the most time in before your departure.

From the Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom, it will probably take about 20-25 minutes by bus and about 15 minutes to Animal Kingdom by bus.  From Wilderness Lodge, travel time by boat to the Magic Kingdom is 11-12 minutes and about 20-25 minutes to Animal Kingdom by bus.  Keep in mind these are approximate travel times and do not include the time waiting for transportation.

I hope this can help you better plan your itinerary!  Have a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time! Please feel free to stop back by and ask me more questions if you have them.
