Hello, Adam! I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question.
Adam, I knew I needed some backup to craft your answer, so I turned to my 12-year-old son! As we thought together, he compiled a list of his favorite things that we both think your whole family might love. Before I jump into our list, I would encourage you to consider
purchasing Disney Genie+ if it fits into your budget. This is a great way to lower your wait time for attractions and experience more thrills.
Adam, my son's favorite park at Walt Disney World is
Disney's Hollywood Studios. He loves exploring all things
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, including feature attractions like
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and indulging in snacks (
try the Blue Milk)! At this park, my son also never misses a chance to ride The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ or eat at
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. Another great dining option when you're at Disney's Hollywood Studios is to take a park break and attempt to devour the Kitchen Sink at
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.
(Reservations are highly recommended and you can easily walk or use the Disney Skyliner to access this resort restaurant.) While I was on ice cream overload, my son loved this challenge and recommends everyone give it a try!
At EPCOT, my son loves
the scavenger hunt available during the fall. Last year, scavenger hunts were available to purchase around the park. When completed, you return the map for a prize. EPCOT is also home to my family's favorite attraction:
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Unlike anything I have ever experienced, this attraction will have you racing through outer space with StarLord and the gang. At EPCOT, you'll also find
Space 220 Restaurant. If your son loves space or a highly themed environment, this is an amazing choice.
If fireworks are on your agenda, my son mentioned that one of his most memorable experiences was enjoying fireworks in a different way. For example, we booked
a Specialty Cruise (for an added fee) which is a small boat with fantastic views from the water. The Captain was amazing and this adventure includes non-alcoholic drinks and a few snacks. There are even more options to consider on the
Enchanting Extras page.
If you're visiting Disney Springs, make sure to stop at the
Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar. Both of my boys were delighted with the soda flights from around the world. It's a fun (and sometimes delicious) activity for the whole family!
Finally, Adam, while I could go on and on, I hope this helps jumpstart your planning. Please come on back with any additional questions.
Wishing you a Magical trip with your family,
Lauren
