This will be our first visit to WDW; I am a bit concerned that my 5 yr. old may not enjoy herself as much due to the possibility of her not being tall enough to ride the rides. Can you tell me on average, how tall someone must be in order to do so? Thanks!

    Hi Erika!

Congratulations on your first big Walt Disney World vacation!  Woo Hoo!  Be sure to stop by Guest Services in any theme park to pick up your "1st Visit" button to wear.  Then be prepared for the well wishes and Pixie Dust as you travel through the parks each day.

Erika, put all of your worries aside.  Walt Disney World was imagined as a place where everybody can vacation, even those with mobility challenges or special needs.  This means there are many rides and attractions for our vertically-challenged youngsters to enjoy as well.  I think you are going to be pleasantly surprised at how many attractions do not have height requirements.  For example I have taken my infant in a baby carrier/sling onto Peter Pan's Flight.  Such precious memories!

To help you plan the attractions you would like to enjoy with your little Princess, here is a link for Disney World Attractions and Height Restrictions.  At the top of the linked page select the filter for "Height" (any height, 32" or taller, etc...) to view all the attractions available for her.  I also like to sort by theme park to help me plan each theme park visit with my little ones.

Thank you for asking your question here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  If you have any more vacation planning questions, please come back and see us again.  We love to help!
