Hi Scott!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You and your family must be getting so excited about your upcoming inaugural visit to Walt Disney World Resort! I will never forget the feeling I had the first time I rolled my son down Main Street, U.S.A. toward Cinderella Castle. Seeing
Magic Kingdom Park for the first time through my son's eyes was unforgettable!
One thing I recommend doing to avoid the possibility of toddler burnout is planning for a midday or midmorning break back at your Resort hotel. Even if your girls are on their best princess behavior, I still suggest planning a break away from the excitement of the theme parks and giving the girls down time. You will still be getting the most of your Disney vacation because after a couple hours, they'll be refreshed and ready to head back to ride attractions! Another idea is to bring their favorite snacks from home with you on vacation. A handful of Goldfish crackers while waiting in line for
"it's a small world" might be exactly what your little ladies need to stop a potential meltdown. Finally, if they have a favorite toy, blanket or stuffed animal that seems to soothe them when times get tough, bring it each day packed in your day bag - just in case!
Scott, before you know it, October will be here and you'll be getting ready to walk down Main Street U.S.A. with your family for the very first time. I'll be sending tons of pixie dust your way for toddler burnout-free days and nights! Thanks for visiting us, and please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any future questions!
