    first visit and not quite sure on transportation times. How early do we earive at the bus stop? How much time does it take to get from place to place? staying at POR and want to be prepare! :)

    Hi Mandi! Transportation is always a big topic when planning your Disney vacation. Port Orleans is a great choice for a resort during your stay and I hope you will enjoy it as much as we have in the past.

    Your primary transportation on property from this resort will be the buses. They will run every 15-20 minutes from the bus stations at the resort. Basically if you are unlikely to walk out and see one leaving you will have about another 15 minute wait for the next one. They do not run on specific times as it is impossible to stay on exact schedule with the number of guests they transport each day. When trying to get to a park or dining reservation we recommend you give yourself at least an hour to an hour and a half so you are not stressing if you find you must wait for a bus. It is best to arrive early and enjoy the surroundings. If you have an early reservation be aware that buses will start at 6:30am but I personally recommend taking a taxi on these specific days. Here is the approximate bus travel time to each park from Port Orleans Riverside.

    To Animal KIngdom Park: 26 minutes
    To Epcot Park: 26 minutes
    To Magic Kingdom Park: 17 minutes
    To Hollywood Studios Park: 14 minutes

    You will also have the opportunity to either take a bus (16 minutes) to Downtown Disney or the boat which is about a 17 minute ride. Many families enjoy the change from a bus and take the boat to explore this great Disney resort area where you can find abundant dining and recreation and of course shopping!
