Since this is our first visit is there any "free" things Disney will do to celebrate this special time for our family? We will be traveling with a 9yo and 2yo. We want to make this as memorable as we possibly can without spending a lot of money.

    Hello, Misty!

What a wonderful trip awaits you for your first visit to Walt Disney World!

First, as soon as you get to a Walt Disney World park, be sure to go to Guest Relations and pick up a "My First Visit" button for each of you.  You will be amazed at how many Cast Members and complete strangers wish each one of you a very special visit.  Extra smiles, a sticker or two and just all-around sincere wishes for a magical first visit will truly add some pixie dust to your family memories!

Should you plan on collecting character autographs, either in a resort-purchased autograph book or one that you bring from home (we've done both!) informing each character that it's your first visit will surely result in a little extra magic during your meeting as well.

Next, if you have a Disney Visa Card (or are interested in getting one; there is one with no annual fee) you and your family can receive a free 5 x 7 family photo with some of your favorite classic Disney characters.  Available exclusively to Disney Visa Cardholders, this opportunity takes place in Epcot; you must show your Disney Visa in order to get in line for this very exclusive event. Your photo will be able to be printed that same day at Epcot Camera Center.

Finally, when checking-in at your resort as well as at any park or resort restaurant, always inform the Cast Members / servers that this is your first visit.  While nothing is guaranteed, sometimes these folks can send  little extra magic your way if at all possible.

Best wishes for a most magical first family vacation in Walt Disney World!  Be sure to send the Panel any additional questions you may have as you plan your trip!  We love to help!
