    First visit to dw dec8th-28th, kids ages 14/8/4 what would you recommend for character dining, and are there any special Christmas day meals we can book in to! 2 girls 1 boy! any tips for December things to see and do please!

    How exciting that your very first Disney vacation will be a holiday trip.  The holidays are an extra magical time of year to visit, as the parks and resorts are decorated in a sea of whimsy and fantasy that would bring a smile to even Ebenezer Scrooge himself!  As for character dining options for your family, some of my favorites include Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom and Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Both are fantastic options for families with any age kids in my opinion.  As you can imagine, the restaurants are extremely busy during Christmas week, so be sure to book your dining options as close as possible to 180 days before you arrive by calling 407-WDW-DINE.  Many of the restaurants will feature special menus for Christmas Day.  My favorites include Artist Point, Flying Fish Cafe and Jiko on Christmas.  Again, be sure to book as early as possible in order to ensure that you secure your desired reservations.
