Hello, Jean,
Welcome to sunny
Southern California! The vibe at the Disneyland Resort frequently takes cues from the local culture. So there are no required dress standards at
dining locations available throughout the resort. You are both welcome to enjoy your dinner in your regular park casual attire.
Though I admit there are a few
signature dining locations that you may choose to dine where you will likely feel more comfortable dressed up just a bit more, such as “resort casual” attire. They also happen to be some of our favorite locations to dine.
Steakhouse 55, located in the
Disneyland Hotel, is an elegant, upscale steakhouse. My favorite entrée there is the SH55 Dry Rub Bone-in Rib-Eye. In
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa you will find
Napa Rose. For a particularly special experience, you may ask about a reservation at the Napa Rose Chef's Counter.
Carthay Circle Restaurant is located inside Disney California Adventure Park. My wife loves the Fire Cracker Duck Wings starter there. Again, there is no required dress code. You will notice guests in all sorts of attire in these particular restaurants. And you are very welcome to pop in straight from the theme parks wearing your comfortable clothing. Though I personally feel that wearing at least nice jeans and a
polo shirt is a little more befitting for me when I visit these particular locations.
I hope you have a magical first visit to the Disneyland Resort, Jean. Make sure you request a complimentary “First Visit” button from one of the
Guest Relations locations. It’s a fun way to commemorate your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
