It's our first visit to Disney... do you recommend getting a rental car? I've heard it takes a long time for travel if you use Disney transportation.

    Hi Timmy!

Congratulations on your first trip to the most magical place on Earth!  Do you plan on visiting areas outside of Disney World?  If so, then a rental car may be your best bet.  However, we use Disney transportation 99.9% of the time - whether we have a car or not!  Although the transportation system has its flaws, it is in my opinion, the quickest and easiest way to get around the property.  For instance, when driving to the Magic Kingdom, you must first park your car and then take a tram to the Ticket and Transportation Center.  At this point, you must then take the boat or monorail over to the exact spot where a Disney bus could have dropped you off!

If you are concerned about the quickest routes to get from Point A to Point B, I highly suggest visiting the Transportation Wizard found on www.OurLaughingPlace.com.  This handy little gizmo is even available as an application on iPhones!  So relax, and leave the driving to Disney!

    Much pixie dust,
