First visit in December and many allergies (soaps, detergents, foods). With table service, I can specify allergens. What about quick service and snacks? Also, can I request allergy free soaps for the linens and the body products they have in room?

    Hi Susan!

Our son has multiple food allergies and we have found that the Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort have done a fantastic job at accommodating his dietary needs! You can use the Walt Disney World Resort section of allergyeats.com to help find restaurants, based on Guest experiences, for your specific combinations of allergies. I recommend noting your allergies on your table-service dining reservation. The Special Dietary Request Cast Members will be able to help you make a plan for all of your meals prior to your trip. Once you have made your dining reservations, you can email them at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com and they will help you coordinate with chefs prior to your visit to ensure there are safe options for you. Be sure to speak with the chef once you get there to ensure everyone is on the same page. For quick-service and snack locations, you can speak with the Cast Member or manager to help determine safe options. Finally, Walt Disney World Resort is in the process of rolling out allergy-friendly menus to table-service and quick-service locations, which will be very useful in ordering safe foods during your trip!

For your room, I suggest calling the resort hotel you will be staying at to request an allergy cleaning of your room. My fellow panelist Anna described the cleaning and how Mousekeepers will do their best to eliminate allergens in your room. You can ask them if there are safe soaps and body products for you, but I recommend bringing your own products as well just in case.

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
