First visit is 11-19 for 5 days. We will be going to MVMCP and the 4 parks Can you help with any advise as to planning our trip we have 5 children between 16 and 11 what is a must see? Also Do we buy the ears or t-shirts? Any advise on that? VERY EXCITED!!

Hi Marvella! How exciting to head to Disney in only two more months! I personally find the middle of November a great time for a visit.

One suggestion for your planning is to use the day you are going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party for a day to explore and experience Downtown Disney or some of the recreation at your resort such as the pools and boats.  Rest in the afternoon, select a dinner reservation for the Magic Kingdom park, then enjoy your time late into the night when the crowds will be at their lowest.  You will be able to experience so much in a short amount of time and you definitely will want to catch the Christmas parade and fireworks.

I like to select my days in the parks when there are Extra Magic Hours. Other guests tend to avoid them during this time.  But I want to have the opportunity to relax and move about slowly in the parks knowing I have the extra time.  This also makes it easier to head back to the resorts for a mid day rest and not worry about running out of time.  Heading back for dinner and a few late night attractions is fun too!  There is nothing like a Disney park at night to experience some magic!

Hmmm....ears or t-shirts?  I think everyone should come home at least once in their life with a pair of Mickey's ears. There are some really special ones now such as the popcorn ears or the Mickey ice cream bar ears. Plus you can also design your own ears which is fun for any age. Since you have older kids they might balk at the ears so maybe discuss this choice with them.  There is also a great spot in Downtown Disney where you can design your own t-shirt.  My family learned long ago that I come prepared with hats for each park and each occasion.  I choose this so it is easier to find them in crowds and besides it is fun and crazy and what better place to act like a kid again!
