This is my first vacation to Disney World as an adult.I will be driving from our hotel, but I'm not sure where to drive and park to go to the MK first. Then how do we get from the MK to MGM?Thanks!

    Hi Christina,

Your 1st vacation as an adult will be awesome! I'm not sure if you're staying on property or not so I can't give you specific driving directions. However, WDW is the # 1 tourist destination in central FL & signs are everywhere to assist you in getting on property.

If coming on I-4, you will see exits for all of the parks but take the one for Magic Kingdom if that where you're going 1st. Once on property signs will lead the way to MK. Once in the MK parking lot, a Cast Member will direct you where to park. Be sure you make note of the section & isle you park in - you could take a picture with your phone. From there you'll board a tram that will take you to the Ticket & Transporation Center (TTC). At that point you'll have two options to get over to MK - by monorail or by ferry boat. I usually take one over & the other back to experience both.

If you're driving to MK & want to visit Disney Hollywood Studios (formerly known as Disney-MGM Studios) the same day, I'd suggest heading back to your car for the short drive over. That way you won't have to travel back to MK parking lot to get your car at the end of the day - you can just head out from DHS. You will see the signs to DHS soon after exciting the MK parking lot.

If you're staying on property, show your resort parking permit & avoid paying parking fees at the theme parks. If you're an Annual Passholder (or traveling with anyone who is), you can present your Annual Pass & Photo ID & parking is free. Guests staying off property & visiting more than one park on the same day are only required to pay parking once - just retain your parking receipt from the 1st park & present it to the Cast Member at the next.

Navigating the WDW Resort by car is easy & I'm sure you'll have no problems during your visit.  Wishing you many magical memories!
