Our first trip to WDW is next month, visiting Magic Kingdom, Epcot & Animal Kingdom. We have daughters who are 7 & 4.5. Our younger daughter is terrified of auto flush toilets & hand dryers. Any restrooms available without these features?

    Hi Betsy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question! My little guy was totally terrified of hand driers (and, much as he pretends not to be anymore, he still kind of is) so I completely understand your question.

While most restrooms at Walt Disney World Resort have auto-flush toilets, you’ll be pleased to know that the ones located at the Baby Care Centers in all of the Theme Parks do not. As for hand dryers, while some restrooms do have them, from my experience, most do not. My little guy has yet to freak out in a Disney restroom, so if they are around, they’re usually not in use or pretty quiet.

Because it can be tough to get to the Baby Care Center if your daughter has to go right away, one tip that has helped a friend of mine is to carry around a block of post-it notes to stick to the sensor for the toilet in order to avoid activating the auto-flush feature. I’d recommend trying it a few times at home to make sure that it would work for your little one and then she should be good to, well… go!

    Have a Magical Day,
