First trip to WDW in May! What's the best form of money to bring to WDW? Does everywhere take visa debit cards or do I need cash? Thanks so much!

    Hi, Katy!

Congratulations on your first trip to Walt Disney World! You are in for such a treat!

When heading to Walt Disney World, I always bring my credit card and debit card, with just a little bit of cash in small denominations, for tipping.

Most of the places you'll be spending money will take credit and debit cards, and there are even ATMs available in the resorts as well as the parks, should you need some cash.  Truly, the only place you'll need cash is if a kiosk's credit card machine is broken.  We like to keep the cash to a minimum, since it's too easy to lose when dashing from attraction to attraction.

If you're staying on Disney property, too, keep in mind that you can charge most purchases to your room, using your Key to the World account, and settle that bill at check out.

Let me know where you're staying, where you're heading and I'll fill you in on where to find ATMs, should you need them!   I'd be happy to help!
