Aloha, Brenda!
I'm so happy to hear your little one enjoyed Mickey's Backyard BBQ! Now, with an interest in hula dancing,
Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show would be a great choice for your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. This awesome dining event is held in Luau Cove - a lovely open-air theater, located on the grounds of
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
Guests feast on an all-you-care-to-enjoy Polynesian meal, including ribs, chicken and pulled pork (kids can choose from favorites like mini corn dogs, tater tots, cheese pizza, grilled chicken or fish), while performers entertain with dances from Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, New Zealand and Hawaii. The highlight of the show is definitely the fire dancer!
While the story line woven through the show might be lost on a five-year-old, she is sure to be amazed at the costumes, dancing and the fun Polynesian music. They most definitely encourage audience participation, where your little hula dancer can join in with the professionals on stage!
My family had a chance to enjoy this fun luau on our last Walt Disney World vacation, and we really enjoyed it. We had seats right in the front (Category 1, Main Floor), which was definitely an advantage to have the best view of the dancers. (And the shortest walk to the stage to join in the hula!)
I hope your tiny dancer will get a chance to enjoy this fun event during your next visit - it's quite a tropical treat for all ages! - Diane W.
