This is our first trip to WDW 5/9 - 5/13. Our flight gets in at 8:35 a.m. and we will be using the magical express staying at POR. I have reservations for Chef Mickey at 11:20 a.m. Do you think we will make it in time? Whats best way to get there ontime?

    Hi Kathryn,

We use Disney's Magical Express all the time and love the service!  Make sure that you put the Magical Express luggage tags on before going to the airport.  Once your bags are checked, you will not see your luggage until later in the afternoon when it is delivered to your room.  With that in mind, be sure to have anything you may need in your carry on for the theme parks.  You will love Port Orleans- Riverside.  It is one of my family's favorite resorts.  When you arrive in Orlando, you will follow the signs to Magical Express and check in.  Although the buses run continuously, you may need to wait for one to Port Orleans.  We have averaged waiting around 30 minutes- sometime less and sometimes more.  It will then take around 45 minutes to get to Port Orleans-Riverside.  You will need to check in at the resort and then take the bus to the Magic Kingdom.  Once there, you will need to take the Monorail to the Contemporary Resort.  I think that you will need to change your dining reservation so you don't feel so rushed, especially when this is your first trip.  I realize that Chef Mickey's character breakfast ends at 11:30 am so this may not be the right day to go for all of you.  If you really want to make these reservations, I would recommend a taxi from the airport to Port Orleans to guarantee you will check in as soon as possible.  Please send me a follow up question if I can help you further, Kathryn.  I know you will have a magical vacation!
