Hi Alyssa!
How exciting that you're celebrating your son's birthday at Walt Disney World!
Late September is a great time of year to visit - in fact it's one of my
favourite times!
Crowds are generally lower since everyone is back to school and weather
starts to cool down just a little, but still plenty warm enough for some
great swimming and even water park fun!
There are some cool activities you may want to consider for your son. Four different 'Pirate Adventure Cruises' are available for children aged 4-12 and are reserved in advance by calling (407)WDW-DINE. Cruises take place in the morning and are approximately 90-120 minutes long. Dates and times of these adventures differ by location and pricing is approximately $35/child.
If that's not quite enough Pirate for your little guy, a visit to
The Pirates League is sure to be right up his alley! This amazing experience takes place in Magic Kingdom theme park and is great fun for kids and grown-ups alike!
A great, celebratory experience for the whole family is the
Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage. It's a fantastic way to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks, have a meet & greet with characters from Disney's Peter Pan, enjoy trivia and prizes and even view the Electric Water Pageant.
Another great must-do's for a birthday boy may include a visit to the Jedi Training Academy at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Arrive early with your little Padawan to sign up as this is a
very popular attraction which fills quickly for the day!
I hope you'll visit me again soon with more great questions to help make this birthday extra special for your son. Wishing you a simply Magical time celebrating at Walt Disney World Alyssa!
