My first trip is scheduled for early May. It will be myself, DH, DS-5, DD-3. Have scheduled all of my ADR. We have Chef Mickey's, Akershus, Teppan Edo, Coral Reef, Mama Melrose for Fantasmic, LeCellier, and O'hana. Is this a good mix or too adult?

    Hi Kathy,

I think you did a great job!

I recently had lunch at Teppan Edo - the food was excellent and the chef's who prepare the hibachi-style meal are talented and hilarious.  Your kids should love it.  Just be sure that they keep their hands far away from the cooking surface because it is very hot.    Coral Reef is a great choice for seafood, and is sure to delight kids with it's view of amazing sea life, including sharks (you might even see an occasional diver).  The kids will get cards that will help identify what they are looking at.  My children love to "check off" the fish as they swim by.  O'Hana is a fun place for dinner.  They have group games for kids, including our family favorite ... using a broom to roll a coconut around the restaurant.  The kids get really into it!  Mama Melrose is a great choice at Hollywood Studios and has excellent Italian food and pizza (a kid favorite).  The sangria is also great (a mom favorite).  The Fantasmic package is well worth it, as it will eliminate a long wait for the show.  LeCellier has outstanding steak, and is famous for it's cheese soup.  I would say that this is the most "adult" of your choices, but we always include a blend of reservations for the kids and us to enjoy. Le Cellier is actually a tough reservation because the restaurant isn't large and it's very popular.  If you were able to secure it, I'd stick with it!   We had a character meal at Akershus a while back, and my kids enjoyed it.  (Don't tell anyone, but my boys love the princesses too!)  You feel like you are dining in a Norwegian castle!  Some of the food choices were eclectic.  My husband was very happy, and I was very happy that they accommodated my request for some "plain-er" food!  The children's menu was a hit with my kids.

Hopefully, I've validated your choices, as I think they are fabulous.  I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time!
