This is our first trip with a motorized scooter. How do things will work for the Ferryboat/Monorail. If I remember correctly there is a separate accessible line. Will our entire party be able to use this line so that we don't get separated?

Hello Jessica, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so excited to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort next month. I can only assume that you are a guest staying at a Disney Resort Hotel with your own ECV or have made arrangements to rent from one of the Disney Featured Providers.

I have used an ECV during a recent visit and I can tell you when it comes to Disney Transportation, there is a specific waiting area for wheelchairs and ECVs. For buses and monorails, they will board the guest using the ECV first. Once they are secure, their entire party will board before the rest of the guests. This will allow your entire party to stay together. When it comes to water transportation, some watercraft cannot accommodate an ECV. Ferryboats can however and the same boarding procedure is in place. Smaller watercraft may need to contact a larger boat that can allow an ECV to board when transporting to certain locations.

I would suggest that you refer to the handy guide for guests with disabilities for any other assistance you may need. Cast Members will make sure that your safety and comfort are their priority when getting you to your destination while visiting Walt Disney World. I hope that helps with your planning. See ya real soon,
