Hey Laura,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! That little fellow you are raising has demonstrated excellent taste in characters. (I love Mickey Mouse too.)
When I read your question, I instantly thought of
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. The studios there have Mickey artwork on the walls and his trademark colors (red, yellow, and black) are prominent throughout the decor. You could ask the fine folks at
Disney Floral and Gifts to leave one of their Mickey-themed surprises for your son to discover when he returns to your room. I bet he would love that.
Additionally, the location of Bay Lake Tower is perfect for a
preschooler's first visit to Walt Disney World. You are a short walk away from Magic Kingdom Park. Your son can hug and meet
Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater while you're there. And, if your son still naps, you can take a speedy monorail ride back to your resort for some blissful time to snooze.
If you want to dine with "The Big Cheese" himself, make a reservation at
Chef Mickey's. It is just a few steps away from Bay Lake Tower on the Grand Canyon Concourse of Disney's Contemporary Resort. This is a much sought-after dining reservation so I highly recommend you call (407) WDW-DINE 180 days in advance to make reservations.
I hope you and your son have the most amazing vacation ever!
Jill
