For our first trip, which will likely be 5 days next fall, I am hearing that you should plan which park you will visit every day, then make dining reservations accordingly. Please help-how do I know which park to do which days? My girls will be 3 and 5.

Hello, Kristina!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

I am thrilled to read that you are well on your way with planning your first ever Walt Disney World vacation! Early planning is the best way to utilize every minute of your vacation.  Well done!

Planning your days prior to setting your dining reservations is a great plan indeed.  Even if you are planning on purchasing the Park Hopper Option, you do not want to waste your day hopping between parks.  With all my WDW visits, I have noticed a trend concerning crowds for certain parks for each day of the week. I would like to share a RESPONSE  I had for a guest who was also inquiring about which parks to visit for each day of the week.  You can use this as a guide as you plan your days.  Crowd trends may change year-to-year, but I have been quite lucky following what I have observed.

I would like to suggest setting two days aside for the Magic Kingdom.  This park has a lot to offer and you will need two days to fully experience this most MAGICAL place!

Well, I hope this helps.  Once you set your days, you can then plan your dining experiences.  Please let me know if I can assist you further.
