We are going on our first trip Jan 28th to Feb 7th and were wondering if they ever close teh water parks if the temperature gets to cold. The average temperature then is twice as warm as when we took our kids to a water park here in PEI this past June.

    Hi Brian!!

We love taking a break from the four theme parks and heading to one of the two water parks on our Walt Disney World Vacations!!  The daytime temperatures for the end of January/beginning of February are usually in the 70's, so you should be totally fine weather wise!!

Disney Water Parks usually will not close due to cold weather.  The fact that they are usually open from 10:00am-5:00pm each day makes it bearable if the temperatures are low.  The pools and water are also heated which makes the water temperature tolerable even if the air temperature is cool.  The only thing that will usually close the water parks is inclement weather related to thunderstorms or hurricanes in the area.

On a side note, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is closed for its annual refurbishment through mid-March, so your only choice of water park will be Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park!!

I hope you have a magical trip!!!
