Hi! First trip (family of 4, two boys 8&6) Staying at Wyndham Resort on WDW ppty. Will buy 3 day park pass for MK, AK, HS. Need an itinerary and suggestion for character dining for 1 night and great places to picnic for lunch. THX!!!

    Hi Nicole!
First trips are the best!! I am so excited for you and your family.
I think it is important to check out the Times Guides at each park (available where you pick up your park maps) to help develop your itinerary. You can also pick up maps at your resort check-in desk. I would look over the maps with the boys each night before heading to a park and come up with a sort of Priority List..."must-dos", "try-to-dos" and "forget it this trip".
It will be hard to do all there is to do in each park with only one day in each, so it will be important to have a more focused plan.
As for character dining, there are so many options and you do not list what characters your boys like. That said, one of the more popular character meals is Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort. It features Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Chip and Dale and it really gets the kids (and parents) into the spirit.
There aren't really picnic areas inside the parks per se, but many families do bring in their own food and simply find a shaded area (benches, etc.) to take their break for lunch.
Please let me know if I can help further or clarify anything written above.
I hope this helps a bit and I wish you all a Magical first trip!! :)
