First trip ever! Where to eat christmas night (have dining plan)? Two adults two teens. Thought maybe Mickey BBQ or hoop de doo show. Any opinion/suggestions welcome!!

    Hi Jennifer,

First trips to Walt Disney World are SO exciting!  I'm delighted that you will have the opportunity to take your family on this magical adventure.

Between the two dining experiences you mention, I prefer the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review.  The food is good old American fare and the show is plenty of fun.  Being inside in late December is an added benefit.

However, there are other great options.  Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort is the classic Disney character dining experience.  Can you imagine how much fun it would be to dine with Mickey and friends on Christmas day?  This past summer I took 16 teenagers to 'Ohana in Disney's Polynesian Resort.  We all had a blast!  That's a great option too.  Biergarten in the Germany Pavilion of Epcot has fabulous music.  Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom is an excellent choice if you are looking for traditional holiday food.

If there's a particular kind of cuisine you seek, just let us know in a follow-up question and we'll be happy to steer you in the right direction.

Whichever table service restaurant you choose, remember to call (407) WDW-DINE as soon as possible to make your reservations.

    Happy planning!

    Jill
