Hi Moms! First trip to DW-myself husband & 8 & 9 yr old Currently have reservations at CBR but I'm wanting to change to BW with water view. Are rooms much larger? Is added expensive worth switch? Love that is walking from Epcot/Holly!! Pros Cons?

Hi Georgia!  I know there will be a variety of opinions of this but I am a staunch "go for the location resort" kind of mom.  We have stayed for years at the Yacht and Beach Club resorts and they are wonderful establishments but it is the location that keeps us coming back year after year.  The biggest pros are the fact you can walk to EPCOT easily and come and go all day without spending half the time on a bus.  The walking path to the Hollywood Studios is especially nice in the early mornings and evenings when the sun is down.  It is a way to unwind and relax away from the hectic pace of the theme parks.

The rooms are generally a bit bigger but I never stay in my room to make that a big decision.  The deluxe resorts will offer more amenities and better themed pools with slides etc.  Staying at the Boardwalk will require bus use for only Downtown Disney, Animal Kingdom, and Magic Kingdom parks.  This area comes alive with thousands of lights and a carnival atmosphere after dark.  You have an abundant variety of restaurants between the Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Club and also the Swan and Dolphin resorts.

If the budget says yes to this location I would recommend it!
