This is our first trip to DW and we are staying at POR 6/25-27. We are planning on spending our first night around DownTown Disney. What are some fun things to do at Downtown Disney for three adults and a four year old girl? Thanks for all the help!!

    Hi, Kelly!

I bet you and your little princess are looking forward to your first Walt Disney World Resort visit! You’re going to love exploring all that New Fantasyland has to offer in Magic Kingdom Park, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort is a great place to stay with boat access to the Downtown Disney area.

Downtown Disney is a great choice for your family to kick off your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. There are several shops, restaurants, entertainment and street vendors for you to explore, like the LEGO Imagination Center, Once Upon a Toy, and World of Disney Store. There’s also a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique location if your princess would like a royal makeover, and I think she would especially enjoy a meal at one of the themed restaurants, like Rainforest Café or T-REX. The entire Downtown Disney area is bright, colorful, and visually engaging for young children and adults alike, so even just a stroll through to browse is a great way to spend time as a family.

I hope this helps, Kelly, and that you enjoy a pixie-dusted visit to “The Most Magical Place on Earth!” Please feel free to write back with any other questions you may have as you continue to plan.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
