This will be our first trip to DW, my four year old son LOVES animals and anything having to do with them. Can you offer any suggestions of cool dining experiences that include animals in some way?

    Esmeralda:

I have four recommendations, two with real animals and two with some very-close-to-real animals...

    • Sanaa: Located at the Animal Kingdom's Kidani Village, this restaurant gives you an up-close and personal view of the Savannah at the resort. Make a reservation before sunset--ideally at 5 p.m. so that you can snag one of the window tables and get a wonderful view of everything from anteaters to zebras!
    • Coral Reef: Does your son enjoy fish, turtles and other sea creatures? An aquarium spans one entire wall of the restaurant housed in Future World of Epcot, allowing your son non-stop underwater glimpses of marine life. Every table gives you a great view but request a table nearest the water wall if it's available.
    • Rainforest Cafe: You have two locations, one at Animal Kingdom and one at Downtown Disney from which to choose. Jungle "animals" come to life during thunderstorms in the rainforest all around the tables. The menu offers something for everyone, especially picky eaters.
    • T-Rex: If dinosaurs appeal to your son, a visit here is a must. I prefer NOT to eat in the ice room which is way too bright for me. Like Rainforest Cafe, the extensive menu offers lots of choices and is one of the best dining values on property.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
