First trip to DW for my children. Recommendations for shows/dinners/breakfast for a boy (11), and 2 girls, ages 8 & 7? Need something boy-friendly!

    Hi Shannon,

I bet your children are really excited for their first trip to Walt Disney World! Be prepared for the: "So, when will we be coming back for our next Disney vacation?" question!

I love talking about the food at Walt Disney World, so I'll be happy to share a few ideas for shows/dinner/breakfasts that your children will enjoy:

    Shows:

The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is one of the most popular dinner shows. Not only is the food great (a family-style BBQ meal is served), but the entertainers are a hoot as well!

    Dinners:

In the Magic Kingdom, the Be Our Guest Restaurant is absolutely amazing. Reservations for dinner are a must, so snag one as early as you possibly can.

In Epcot's Future World, the Coral Reef Restaurant is a hidden gem. Most guests flock to World Showcase for dinner, but this is a fun spot to eat along side 4,000 sea creatures in their natural habitat.

In Disney's Hollywood Studios, the 50's Prime Time Cafe is awesome because your cousins (the wait staff) will make the experience more like a dinner theater than just a restaurant. (P.S. - Try the Boston Cream Parfait for dessert!)

    Breakfasts:

You can't go wrong with any of the character dining because the food is awesome and the meet-and-greet experiences are a lot of fun. If I were to only pick one to recommend, I'd vote for the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom. (P.S. - Try the Puffed French Toast from the "Pooh's Corner" section of the buffet!)

Here's a bonus suggestion from your buddy Derek:

Some of the best pizza that I've had anywhere (not just at Walt Disney World) is at Via Napoli in the Italy pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase.

I hope that helps! Please feel free to write back if you'd like some more suggestions and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
