First trip to Disneyland but have been to WDW multiple times. I have several of the new styleMagic Bands including Magic Band+. Can I use my Magic Band to scan into Disneyland and DCA parks.

    Hello there, Debra!

Welcome to planDisney! We're happy to see a Walt Disney World veteran here and I'm excited to hear that you're about to visit Walt's original Park at the Disneyland Resort soon! There's just something special about Disneyland Park, knowing that Walt Disney walked these same pathways and even held an apartment above the Fire Station. During your visit, I would recommend stopping by the Main Street Town Square and experiencing The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. There are several wonderful exhibits inside that document Disneyland's history from past to present!

Debra, you sound like a MagicBand collector like myself! There are so many neat designs from which to choose. Well, I have good news for you. Currently, the Disneyland Resort supports MagicBand+, so any of your bands that fall under that category may be used here. Although we don't enjoy the full feature set that you get at Walt Disney World, there's still plenty that they can do and even some added extras for the Disney100 Celebration! So go ahead and use your favorite MagicBand+ to scan into Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure as well as Lightning Lanes!

Please note that MagicBand+ can only be linked to one ticket or pass at a time. After a recent trip to Walt Disney World, I found that I had to unlink my MagicBand+ from the My Disney Experience App before I could successfully link it to my Disneyland account in the Disneyland Mobile App

Make sure to devote some time to attractions and experiences that you cannot find in Walt Disney World. In Disney California Adventure, the theming of Cars Land and Avengers Campus is so incredibly immersive that you'll feel like you just walked into their eponymous movies! Over in Disneyland Park, the Matterhorn Bobsleds will have recently re-opened after a refurbishment. And you can explore the Temple of the Forbidden Eye at the Indiana Jones Adventure, just in time for the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny not long after your visit!

As you can tell, Debra, I'm super excited for you to experience the Happiest Place on Earth! It's my home Park and I love showing newcomers why this place is so wonderful. Please feel free to reach out to me or any of my planDisney pals again if you have any further planning questions! And have a fantastic visit!

    We'll See Ya Real Soon,

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
