This is going to be my first trip to Disney with my 9 and 5 year old children. I would like to stay on the grounds and I am not sure what hotel would be suitable for us. Any suggestions?

First of all, Stacey, let me assure you that no matter which resort you decide on, it's a fairly safe bet that your kids are going to have an unforgettable experience!  It's tough to recommend a particular resort without knowing your budget and preferences.  That said, here are my suggestions for each resort category:

Value - Disney's Pop Century Resort
I've never stayed here, but among value resort connoisseurs, Pop Century gets rave reviews for its theming, food court, and value.

    Moderate - Caribbean Beach Resort
The pool here is really cool, as are the pirate themed rooms.  I love the island music and beachy feel as well as the plethora of recreation opportunities (water sports, specialty cruises, bike rentals) available.

    Deluxe - Disney's Beach Club
You can't beat the pool at the Beach Club; your kids will LOVE it!  I love the fact that Epcot's World Showcase (and all those dinner possibilities!) is within walking distance.

The best resort for your family will greatly depend on your vacation preferences and budget.  Hopefully, this will get you going in the right direction.  Once you narrow down your choices a bit, feel free to bounce your concerns off the moms again!
