Hi Danielle! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting for you and your family for your 1st visit to Walt Disney World! And with the Deluxe Dining Plan you are definitely going to have more than enough to eat, and be able to enjoy a wide variety of different restaurants and cuisines. I can tell you that with the Deluxe Dining Plan, the likelihood of needing to buy any extra drinks or snacks is low. So you really will only need spending money for souvenirs, or activities that you might want to do outside of the theme parks. Personally, I like to budget around $100/day for "extras", and you may find that this is quite generous with just the 3 of you.
Danielle, be sure to make advance dining reservations for any of the table-service restaurants you wish to dine at. This can be done 180 days prior to the first day of your check-in at a Walt Disney World Resort, and I can't stress enough how important this will be for some of the hard-to-get reservations like Cinderella's Royal Table or Be Our Guest Restaurant. You can do this
online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463).
Also, be sure to ask for your complimentary 1st Visit buttons that you all can wear throughout your visit to Walt Disney World. You just may get a special greeting or extra attention from the Cast Members! You can get these at check-in at your resort or at Guest Relations at any of the four theme parks.
If you'd like any restaurant recommendations or any other help with planning your 1st Walt Disney World vacation, please write me back and I would be happy to help you. Have a magical day!
