This is my first trip to Disney World and I was wondering if it would be more beneficial for a member in my party to to have a membership for discounts, we are currently military so I don't know if the discounts will be worth the extra cost.

Wow Victoria! Your first trip to the magic! Prepare to be awed by the sight of castles, space ships, and pirates; to fly on an elephant and soar above the earth; and of course, eat Mickey shaped ice cream!

Military discounts, available to active and retired service members, are your best bet. Currently, the sale of Annual Passes has not been reinstated, and typically you need to spend quite a few days in the theme parks to make these tickets a money saver.

Right now the mouse is offering a military discount for Walt Disney World Resorts; book this deal through Disney. Disney Military Promotional Tickets for admission to the Theme Parks are available at your nearest base. You will need your military id for these promotions.

Planning a first trip to Walt Disney World can be overwhelming. PlanDisney would love to help you. Please come back and see us with any and all questions.

Wishing you a wonderful first adventure!
