Oh, Sara, you are in for such a wonderful first visit! Four is such a great age, especially when princesses are involved!! She is in luck because a whole new Tangled meet and greet area has been constructed where Rapunzel and Flynn Rider meet future princes and princesses daily. Head to the right of Cinderella Castle to the Fairytale Garden stage to find the Tangled meet and greet. You can check the Times Guide you'll receive at the park entrance or look for times on the sign by the stage.
What makes this new meet and greet so unique is that while parents wait for the chance to meet and get photos with Rapunzel and Flynn, children get to interact with the characters themselves. Your best bet is to arrive about 20 minutes prior to the meet times to secure a spot. As parents wait, children are given a coloring activity at a large table. When they arrive, Rapunzel and Flynn come down from the stage and dance around in a circle with all the children, making for some truly magical memories. Then they head back on stage where kids can have some one on one time, pose for pictures or ask for an autograph.
If you haven't already heard about
Disney's PhotoPass service, this would be a perfect opportunity to use it. There will be a PhotoPass photographer on hand, who will give you a PhotoPass card if you don't have one. Then you can point out your child so they can capture some photos during the coloring and dancing part of the experience, before the actual posed photos. The PhotoPass service is completely free and you are under no obligation to buy the photos they take. You can check them out online and then choose to purchase some or all of the photos, add frames or backgrounds and make all sorts of mementos as well.
I hope you and your family have the Best. Day. Ever! when you meet Rapunzel!
