This will be our first trip to Disney World for my sons 6th birthday. Do you have tour guides that can assist us in making the most out of the trip since we are unfamiliar with the park?

Hi, Deneshia!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so excited to hEAR that you and your family will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort for the first time! You are going to make magical memories that will last a lifetime!  Be sure to ask a Cast Member at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or any Guest Relations location for a "Happy Birthday" button for your son and "First Visit" buttons for the entire family.  You never know what kind of pixie dust you will experience when you wear those buttons!

The Walt Disney World Resort does offer VIP Tour Services for a fee; however, hiring a tour guide is not the only way for first-time guests to have a vacation experience that is practically perfect in every way.  Prior to your arrival, be sure to do some resEARch on the Walt Disney World website to figure out your family's must-do attractions and entertainment offerings.  You can even view maps of the theme parks and resort hotels on the website to help familiarize yourself with the most magical place on earth.  I think that you may also find the Walt Disney World website's sample itinerary to be very helpful.

If you have not done so already, be sure to explore all of the dining options at the Walt Disney World Resort.  If you wish to dine at any table-service restaurants, be sure to make reservations.  Dining reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made 180 days in advance.  I would highly recommend a character dining experience.  It's a great way to enjoy a delicious meal and get to visit with some of your favorite Disney pals at the same time.

Also, be sure to make your FastPass+ selections.  This can be done 60 days prior to check-in for Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guests, or 30 days before your arrival if you are staying elsewhere.

If you have any additional vacation planning questions, please visit us again.  We love to help!  See ya real soon!
