Hi, Siobhan! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm sure you're getting excited to experience
all the Disney thrills during your first
Walt Disney World Resort vacation! When it comes to my favorite Walt Disney World Resort activities, all of the
nighttime spectaculars are at the top of my list. I love experiencing the fireworks shows up close from inside the theme parks, however, sometimes it's nice to skip the hustle and bustle of the parks in favor of a more relaxing viewing experience.
A couple of years ago, my family and I booked a private fireworks cruise. I would highly recommend this activity. It was such a special evening for my family, and it's a core memory that I treasure. We boarded our chartered boat at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. A friendly and knowledgeable Cast Member took us for a ride around Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake before stopping in front of
Magic Kingdom Park to watch the
Happily Ever After fireworks show.
Guests can book a cruise leaving from one of several Magic Kingdom area resort hotels to enjoy this park's fireworks shows. Fireworks cruises are also offered at the
EPCOT area resorts if you'd prefer to take in a show at EPCOT. The comfortable chartered boats can accommodate up to 10 Guests plus your boat captain. Some snacks and soft drinks are included, and if you're celebrating a special occasion, you can even request decorations at the time of booking. The soundtrack for the fireworks is played onboard, so you can be fully immersed in the show from your relaxing, private location.
When our friends like you from across the pond wish to book an activity from the
Enchanting Extras Collection, they sometimes have to do so over the phone rather than online. When it comes to these private fireworks cruises, online booking actually isn't available at all. All Guests, even those living in the United States, must call and speak to a Cast Member about reserving this activity. You can find the phone number to call for reservations on this
Specialty Cruises webpage. As a
Disney Resorts Collection Guest, you should be able to book this experience 60 days before your arrival date.
Siobhan, I hope that you'll be able to add a little extra pixie dust to your trip with a fireworks cruise. If my fellow planDisney panelists and I can help you with any additional questions, please
visit us again. Wishing you the most magical vacation ever!
Samantha
