This is our first trip to Disney World as a family. Is it possible to upgrade the provided MagicBands. For example, apply the $12.95 towards the purchase of a graphic one for $22.99. This might make a great stocking stuffer for my kids.

    Hi, Bree!

Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotels receive complimentary MagicBands. You may choose your color. Choices include purple, pink, blue, green, gray, yellow, orange, or red. You will also be able to personalize them with names which are printed on the backside of the band. If customized and address confirmed prior to the deadline then the bands will be mailed to the guest's home.

These bands are complimentary, but have no "upgrade" value. If you prefer to make your own MagicBand at one of the retail locations around Walt Disney World or if you buy a special edition band, this will just be an extra that you will need to pay for. It is fine to have more than one MagicBand linked to a guest's account, so feel free to alternated which band is used.

When that box of MagicBands arrive in the mail, you know your magical vacation is just around the corner. See you real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
