Our first trip to Disney World is booked for February 6-13th. I originally booked based on low attendance & price. I am concerned about the weather being too cold and wondering if I should postpone to first week in May or even further to October. Pros/

Hi Jessica! Every year guests try to out guess Mother Nature and pick the perfect week for a Disney vacation. I can assure you we simply can't know in advance what she is going to set down upon us.

I just returned from the parks where I found one day the lows were in the upper 30's to the highs in the mid 80's. The weather during the winter changes quickly so if you don't like it cold just wait and it will be back to warm and toasty soon. And if you choose a winter week because you like it cooler don't be surprised if the sun comes out and bakes away for a few days. It is totally unpredictable.

Personally I would keep the dates you have chosen. The weather won't be the high heat of summer with the high humidity but during sunny days you should have plenty of warmth to enjoy the parks and pools. Early mornings and evenings might prove to be chilly so starting out in layers is a good idea with light wraps.

May will be much warmer but also much more humid which is what I try to avoid. The humidity is what can zap your strength and energy in Florida and not to say what it can do to your hair! October is a very busy month in the parks with a few of the Disney running races being held at this time as well as the Food and Wine Festival in Epcot. It also brings many guests wanting to enjoy the Halloween holidays with Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in the Magic Kingdom.

My vote remains to keep your February dates and hope for the best warm sunshine possible at that time of year!
