Its our first trip to Disney World this August! We are a family of 4 with an 11 year old and a 15 year old. We are also bringing my mother. I am having a hard time finding the best package for the 5 of us that will include the meal plan as well. Thanks

    Hi Dawn!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

I recommend working with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner.  He or she is a travel agent that specializes in vacations to Walt Disney World, to Disneyland, onboard the Disney Cruise Line, and with Adventures by Disney.  The services are generally free to guests.  He or she can help you plan your vacation and find the best option.  He or she can also be on the lookout for new discounts that might be released.  My Authorized Disney Vacation Planner has saved me and my family a lot of money over the years.

That said, if you want to do this on your own, I suggest figuring out the price with and without the Disney Dining Plan.  That's because a Disney Dining Plan doesn't always make sense for everybody.  You really have to do the math and compare the cost of a Disney Dining Plan to the cost of paying for dining "out of pocket".  To help you do that, I suggest visiting the independent website AllEars.Net.  There you can find the menu, including prices, for all of the Table Service and Quick Service locations within Walt Disney World.

I hope this helps!  Our answers are limited in length, so please write back with more questions!
