This is our first trip to Disney and we are taking our 4 & 6 yr old. We arrive on Feb. 2nd and will stay for a week. What is the best itinerary for that week with crowd levels, etc.? Hope the weather is nice too! :) thanks so much!

    Hi  Lori!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

That is a relatively quiet week at Walt Disney World so you really don't need to schedule your trip around the expected crowd level in the various parks.  That said, if you want to then I suggest visiting the independent website TouringPlans.com.  That is the website for the research team behind the tour book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".  They are famous in the Disney fan community for producing a crowd calendar that predicts the crowd levels in the parks on specific days.  Definitely check it out.

The weather can still be cold in early February; you will definitely want to pack some jackets, sweaters, or sweatshirts.  However, it can also be warm during the day so also pack some t-shirts and shorts!  You will definitely want to check on the weather forecast a few days before your trip!

By the way, since it is your first time visiting, I highly recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for first time visitors as it is full of information but it is not overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  Another great book is "PassPorter's Walt Disney World" by Jennifer and Dave Marx; it is also perfect for first time visitors though it doesn't have as many photos as my previous recommendation.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
