I am going on my first trip to Disney for Spring break 2017 with my girls (both 9).I already have planned a character dinning to be able to see some of the princesses at once. Do I have to pay for individual character meets in the park?

    Hi Jacquelyn,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I am glad that you are planning ahead for your trip. This will make everything go that much smoother while you are on vacation.

For character dining, there is a charge as you are also having a meal while you meet the characters. It sounds like you already have your plans set, including your character dining. If you are looking to meet princesses, Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot are great locations with many princesses.

For character meetings in the theme parks outside of dining, there is no extra charge! Of course you need to have your theme park admission to enter the park; however, once you are in the park, the character meetings that are not part of a meal are included. I do recommend that you make Disney FastPass+ selections for the character meetings that you wish to do in the theme parks. The princesses can be popular. Having a Disney FastPass+ selection for these meetings can help to lower the wait time. Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom is popular, currently offering the opportunity to meet Rapunzel and Tiana as well as Cinderella and Elena. You can make Disney FastPass+ selections for these princess meetings, and I recommend that you do so.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Jacquelyn! Have a wonderful time planning your magical vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
