First trip to Disney - is there somehere that summarizes the different options for eating with characters, or where you find each, different extra experiences you can choose from, describes hotels, lists rides at parks....

Welcome, Emmy! Your first vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort is sure to be a magical one! With so much to experience, I am sure it can feel a bit overwhelming at first, so I'm glad you've stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We're happy to help!

Walt Disney World's website has so much information on it, which is wonderful, but it can be hard to know where to start, so I'm going to include lots of links for you to explore.

First off, you'll need to decide which Disney Resort to enjoy during your visit. There are resorts for every budget, and all sorts of different themes, so see which one calls out to your family as totally "you"!

I'm glad you asked about Character Dining, because it's always a must-do, but especially on your very first trip! I don't know which characters are your family's favorites, but check out all of the options both in the parks and the resorts, and surely you'll find your favorites and can book reservations as soon as possible. Guests can begin booking dining 180 days prior to arrival, and many popular locations do book up quickly, so don't wait.

Besides dining with your favorite Disney pals, you can also meet Disney characters throughout the parks. Some of these character experiences offer FastPass+, so consider using that for your favorites so you can skip the lines!

Each park has a ton of attractions to enjoy, so having a plan before you arrive is essential. Start by checking out the Magic Kingdom attractions, Epcot attractions, Disney's Hollywood Studios attractions, and Disney's Animal Kingdom attractions lists and then decide which are must-do's for your family, and be sure to plan your FastPasses with those in mind.

I hope that gets you off to a good overall start for this trip, Emmy, but please stop back again with any more specific questions as you continue to plan for this exciting adventure!

    Happy planning!
