First trip to Disney will be May 29-June 6, 2010. Staying at POR. I have read several bad reviews on bus wait times and very crowded buses from POR. We are driving to Disney, would it be best for us to drive to each park daily, or use the bus? Thanks!

    Hi Jolene!

The quickest and most convenient way to get around on Walt Disney World property is by driving your own car.  The only exception is possibly the Magic Kingdom.  That's because when going to the Magic Kingdom, you have to park in the Magic Kingdom parking lot, then walk or take a tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center, followed by a monorail or ferry boat ride to the Magic Kingdom.  If taking Disney transportation, Disney will drop you off right at the Magic Kingdom.

However, it is my opinion based on many years of visiting Walt Disney World that for every other theme park, Downtown Disney, the water parks, etc, you will get there much faster if you use your own car.  It is also very easy to drive on Walt Disney World property with lots of signs.

By the way, Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite Disney Moderate Resort.  Consider taking a carriage ride while you are there and taking the boat to Downtown Disney.  The boat will take longer than driving your own car, but it is a very relaxing trip, especially at night.  Also, parking at Downtown Disney has become harder and harder over the years.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
