    Hello! First trip to disney 9/12 - How long does it take to get to down town disney from POL- R ? I made a table service reservation, just want to make sure we will have enough time to make it there after we arive!

    Hi Kerry!

    Congratulations on your upcoming, First Trip to Walt Disney World!
    You've picked a great resort for your first stay.

    The lovely cruise down the Sassagoula River departs the docks at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, approximately every 20 minutes prior to 4:30pm, and every 10 minutes after that, until 11pm. The trip from your resort to the neighbouring French Quarter Resort takes about 5 minutes, and additional guests will board the watercraft at this location. From that point, it's an additional 15-20 minutes to the dock at Downtown Disney. You'll arrive at the Downtown Disney Marketplace Dock, next to Rainforest Cafe.

    It is always recommended that you allow a full hour of travel time from door to door, especially to reach a Disney Dining Reservation on time. Try to be at the Port Orleans Riverside Dock a full hour prior to your reservation at Downtown Disney. If you do arrive early, I can assure you that there's no shortage of things to look at while you await your check-in time!
