We have our first trip to Disney in late May with our 5y/o and 3y/o. We want to do the Terrace Dessert party but the only reservations available online are 9:00. I am concerned my kids who don't usually nap and go to bed at 8 won't make it. Thoughts?

Sheer excitement over an endless amount of sweets, seeing Tinker Bell fly over their heads, and watching a fantastic fireworks display should keep your kids awake an extra hour or two. Once you sugar those children up they will be good till midnight!

When our children were younger I was always amazed at how long they could keep going in the Magic Kingdom. Exhausted from stroller pushing my husband and I were always ready to stop before our offspring were. Instead of experiencing their normal bedtime cues your sweeties will be blasting Zorg for Buzz Lightyear, meeting princesses, and sailing along with pirates in the Caribbean. Though they may be tired, they should be able to handle the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party. The event is special enough you should be able to handle a little bit of extra tiredness. Yours as well as the children's! Do be prepared to carry sleeping children off the bus when you arrive back at your resort.
