This is our first trip to Disney - four kids ages 8-17 and 2 adults. Are we allowed to carry water bottles (non-disposable) at the parks? What about food? Are there drinking fountains for refilling? How do you manage these on rides? Thanks!!!

    Hi Sandra!

Yes, you are allowed to bring water bottles and food into the parks.  Alcohol and glass jars (except for baby food jars) are prohibited, so as long as your re-usable water bottles aren't glass, you are good to go!

You'll find there are plenty of water fountains around the parks for re-filling your bottles.  One word of warning, though.  Many people find the water at Walt Disney World tastes 'different.'  Some people have reported that using water bottles with built-in filters help with the taste.

We always carry snacks with us, and travel with a small back pack and camera case.  I don't know if either of these would be appropriate for you, but we find that bags are easily stowed in most rides near your feet.  Most of the more intense rides will provide a storage compartment in the ride vehicle for storing items--just make sure you don't leave them!

    Have a magical vacation!
